Mary Ann Green, MA, LPC-MHSP, RDN, LDN

Mary Ann’s passion and career vision has been to pursue and encourage overall health on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH where she majored in dietetics and became especially compassionate towards those struggling with eating disorders. She completed her Dietetic Internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and became a Registered Dietitian in 2001. Influenced by her involvement in campus ministry, she then spent time in Croatia and Bosnia working with a college ministry, talking with students who had survived a horrific war. This experience strengthened her interest in counseling and psychology, and she went on to earn an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA.  Since 2007 she has worked as a therapist and dietitian, with experience that includes individual and group therapy with adults and adolescents, specialized training and experience in treating eating disorders, regular use of evidenced based therapies in treating anxiety and depression, and EMDR and Brainspotting training to treat PTSD.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee with the Mental Health Service Provider designation and a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist by the Tennessee Board of Dietitians/Nutritionist Examiners. Her primary specialty is healing one’s relationship with food, and doing the deeper work of healing their relationship with themselves, others and God. Mary Ann prioritizes her role as a wife and mother of of two young boys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, yoga, live music, hiking and watching college basketball.
