We believe in the healing power of connection drawing from one another’s unique strengths, we can support one another and therefore better care for those who cross our paths. There is something healing about simply being in the presence of a caring person, and neurobiology studies have proven that. We believe that applies not only to the care that we provide our clients, but also to our community as a team. We strive to provide compassionate, clinically-excellent care through integrating evidence-based treatment strategies from psychology, nutrition and wellness.

Our Story:
Nurtured Soul Counseling and Wellness was founded by Mary Ann Green as a solo practice in 2018 in Nashville, TN.
Mary Ann earned her bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH where she majored in dietetics and became especially compassionate towards those struggling with eating disorders. Her passion and career vision has been to pursue and encourage overall health on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Her desire to specialize in nutrition, mental health and spiritual well-being set the unique practice apart right from the start.
It was named with the vision that it could one day grow beyond her solo practice and carry out the mission of nurturing the body, soul and spirit from a variety of disciplines with a full team of practitioners. The expansion of Nurtured Soul Counseling and Wellness began in 2022 with fervent prayer for a full team and the right fit. Our office administrator, Cherie Oakley, was the first to join and in the months that followed we added a dietitian and two therapists, one of whom is uniquely both both an RN and therapist. Last but certainly not least, Mary Ann's dog, Sweet Pea, has become a very welcome therapeutic assistant who brings a calming presence! Together we proudly serve a multitude of specialized needs for our clients.
